Embracing the True Spirit of the Holidays
December 14, 2023Back to All Posts
While we exchange gifts and gather with loved ones, it’s important to remember that not everyone is fortunate enough to experience the same joy. The spirit of the season lies not only in receiving but in giving back to those in need.
Showing the Spirit of Giving
At Christopher Todd Communities, one of our core values is stewardship and for this reason, it’s important to us that we volunteer, give back, adopt a charity, and make donations to non-profits. During the holidays, it’s especially crucial to us that less-fortunate children can wake up on Christmas morning and share in the delight of opening a present. For the fourth consecutive year, we were thrilled to deliver dozens of toys to our communities to go to those in need.
Giving Back Doesn’t Always Involve Monetary Donations
Here are some ways to give back if you aren’t able to financially:
1. Volunteer Your Time
2. Donations of Gently Used Furniture, Clothes, Toys
3. Random Acts of Kindness
4. Adopt a Family in Need with a Home Cooked Meal
5. Sing Christmas Carols to the Homeless, a Senior Center, or a Foster Group Home
Teach the Spirit of Giving
Instilling the value of generosity in younger generations is invaluable. Involving your children from an early age in charitable activities educates them about empathy, compassion, and the importance of helping others, shaping them into more empathetic and socially conscious individuals.
We are so grateful that we are able to give back to so many and spread joy all across our communities. This is the true spirit and reason for the season.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Christopher Todd Communities.
