The jewel cichlids that spawned in the 65g just before we left for vacation are now protecting about two dozen fry. They seem to be doing a good job protecting them from all the other cichlids in the tank.
The Apistogramma agassizi female in the 90g is also protecting new fry. They’re really tiny, so probably only a few days old. I saw about 8 or so, but they’re so hard to see, and since they don’t move much, I suspect there are more than a dozen.
